Looks like Facebook got their sponsored search ads feature launched this week. The only difference is that bidders aren’t bidding on keywords. They are bidding on the actual entities on Facebook like an app, page or place that someone searches for. Facebook’s new “sponsored results” seems to run differently from the normal PPC advertising companies, but this could be a new way to advertise.
Plus side for the Facebook users is that these new ads can be clicked away if you don’t want to be bothered by them.
