One good way to get free and targeted traffic is to use Forums. It is good way as long as person doesn’t spam and/or break rules. Keys to get traffic from forums are good behaving and being active. Asking questions, providing useful information, and helping others are vital parts of being active. But how you actually get traffic from forums?
First thing that you can do is to fill your information of your profile. If that forum allows you to add your website information then add them. We made test about filling our site information in some specific forums and we were quiet surprised about traffic result. In first week when we established this blog 50%-60% of our traffic came from forums.
Second thing what you can do is to write your signature. You can add your site link there. Usually it is permitted but you need to find out that does your forum allow that. When you write comment or post your signature will be displayed underneath of your comment.
Third thing which is little bit tricky but not so many people do it is to add your website address on your location field. Usually people type their country name and it should be but this is small trick that brings attention. When it is mixed with your website address, vóila more traffic.
Fourth thing is to ask people to review your site but use this trick only when you need other people opinion about your site. Some people will fall to spamming at this phase.
Remember this bonus tip. The more active you are in forums more chances you will have to get free traffic because people will see your signature and your website address. If you want to get targeted traffic use those same tips but join only for forums that are related to your niche, product or program. Post there and you will get free targeted traffic. How much you will get? That’s difficult to say.
Also remember not to spam! Very important thing to remember and we don’t know how much we should stress this point out. Spamming in forums = banning you from forums.
